Just in time for International Fisheries Day, B&D Trawling Limited (B&D) officially launched its sustainable fishing project in Rocky Point Clarendon, on June 29 with guest speaker Minister Rudyard Spencer, Member of Parliament for Rocky Point, Clarendon. With Jamaica being the most overfished country in the Caribbean, B&D Trawling, through working with its supply chain, wants to bring greater awareness to fishing practices. B&D has therefore partnered with the World Bank through the Jamaica Business Fund, the Fisheries Division of the Ministry of Industry Commerce Agriculture and Fisheries (MICAF), and the Alligator Head Foundation, to help make this initiative a success.
